Jamshedpur, Sept 22: DC Amit Kumar today discussed all issues pertaining to civil construction work, appointment of teachers, opening of bank accounts, midday meals, electricity connections in schools and other related topics in the course of the monthly meeting with education department officials at the office premises today.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to utilize the balance of funds allotted under Jharkhand Education Project by October 15. He also instructed that the vacant post of teachers in the Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls� schools be filled up at the earliest.
Amit Kumar strictly stated that there should be no discrepancy in the distribution of midday meals and in case of any shortage, it would be the AGM�s responsibility to acquire the necessary food grains under any scheme for replenishment.
He directed all Block Education Officers to ensure power connections at the remaining 783 schools in the district at the earliest.
DEO Raj Kumar Prasad Singh, Deputy District Superintendent of Education Rajendra Prasad Singh and other district education officials were present at the meeting.
