School of Hope students awarded for exemplary performance

Jamshedpur, August 9: The School of Hope felictated 2 of its students who participated in the Special Olympics Games held at Los Angeles, USA.

Mamun Rashid Khan and Noorul Hassan represented India in Los Angeles�and had put up an extraordinary effort. Mamun Rashid Khan was part of an athletic team and won a Gold medal in 400 M Run along with a Bronze in 4 � 400 M Relay. Noorul Hassan was awarded Ribbon of participation.

Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President HRM was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He congratulated both the participants and said that they had done the School of Hope proud by their achievement.

He said that in the days to come, the School will concentrate even more on developing the skills of the students.

The School was doing commendable work for the mentally challenged children and would continue the good work.

He added that it was also the responsibility of the Parents and society at large to encourage the children so that their talents and potential could be fully realised.

The Committee members of the School of Hope, the Principal of the School were present on the occasion.

The Jamshedpur society for the welfare of mentally challenged children popularly known as school of hope situated in Jamshedpur, district- East singhbhum, State- Jharkhand, is a unique Hindi medium co-educational private institution run and managed by a society registered under the societies Act XXI of 1860 since 1977.

It was started on the Gandhi Jayanti in 1976. There are 135 children in the school currently.
