Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The Singhbhum Postal Division successfully conducted the Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana–2025 Scholarship Examination at Shri Krishna Public School, Bistupur, on Wednesday.
A total of 141 students from various schools across the city participated in the examination, which aims to promote philately among school students.
The participating schools included Valley View School (21 students), Motilal Nehru Public School (13), Sakchi Girls’ High School (1), Carmel Junior College (1), Tagore Academy (1), Bharatiya Model Middle School (8), Gyan Ganga School (21), St. Mary’s Hindi High School (38), Shri Krishna Public School (35), Ramakrishna Mission School (1), and Tarapore School (1).

The examination tested students’ knowledge of postal history, philately, and general awareness related to postage stamps.
Under this scheme, 10 students from each class at the circle level will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 6,000 each.

Senior Superintendent of Posts, Singhbhum Division, Udaybhan Singh, highlighted that the initiative aims to encourage students from Classes VI to IX to develop philately as an educational and creative hobby.

He also mentioned that the Jharkhand Postal Circle conducts this scholarship examination every year under the Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana to nurture young philatelists
