SCCI requests Tata Sons chairman for semiconductor chip unit in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, December 27: Vijay Anand Moonka, president, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI), in a letter to the  chairman of Tata Sons Limited, N. Chandrasekaran has requested to set up a semiconductor chip manufacturing unit in or near Jamshedpur.


He has also sent congratulations for the fact that according to the demand of today’s time, the initiative has been taken for the manufacture of the semiconductor chips, but if this unit is established in or near Jamshedpur, it will lead to more all-round development in the Jamshedpur region. He said that the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) has already been identified for such industrial activities in Adityapur, Jamshedpur.

A copy of this letter has also been sent to  Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Industries Secretary Pooja Singhal, Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar, JIADA area director Prem Ranjan.
