SCCI demands two express highways in state

Jamshedpur, Dec. 18: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a letter to Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport, Highways & Shipping, Govt of India, has requested for the construction of 2 express Highways connecting Jamshedpur to Rourkela via Manoharpur and Chakradharpur and the other from Ranchi to Rourkela via Nuagaon, Bano and Hatia.

Prabhakar Singh, Genl. Secretary of SCCI, said Jamshedpur and Ranchi are mining and industrial corridors and Ranchi is also the Capital of Jharkhand State. If Jamshedpur is called the industrial capital of Jharkhand and if it is connected with Express Highway with Rourkela via Manoharpur and Chakradharpur, it will boost the growth of Trade, Industry and Commerce in both the States of Jharkhand and Orrisa.

He expressed confidence that implementation of the above suggestions would help in economic and industrial growth of Jharkhand which would benefit the Nation as well.

SCCI represents the interests of the Trade, Commerce & Industry of Kolhan Division of Jharkhand State and take keen interest in development of social fabrics through various activities involving the growth of Jamshedpur as well as entire Kolhan Division, Singh added.

At copy of the letter is also sent to Jual Oram, Minister for Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India and Vidyut Baran Mahto, M.P., Jamshedpur.
