Jamshedpur: The State Bank of India chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya today handed over a cheque of Rs. 20.91 lacs to Sri. Navin Kumar, father of late Manoranjan Kumar, the Indian Navy officer killed in a mishap aboard INS Sindhuratna on 26th February last, in a function organized at State Bank of India Jamshedpur main branch, Bistupur on 22nd March 2014.
Late Manoranjan was a customer of State Bank of India, Jamshedpur Main Branch and had availed a housing loan of Rs. 20.70 lacs on 14th June 2014.
The loan was secured by Rin Raksha policy of SBI Life. SBI Life has promptly settled the death claim, said the SBI chairperson.
