SBI, BOB bank branches sealed in Seraikela after employees test corona positive

Seraikela, Sept. 11: Coronavirus cases are increasing at rapid pace in Seraikela-Kharsawan district specially during Unlock period. The COVID norms have gone for a toss as people are seen crowing market places. Social distancing was completely absent and majority of the people were seen without masks during the weekly market in Seraikela put up for the second time after Unlock 4 came into effect. Not only customers but shopkeepers have also forgotten all COVID norms and are openly interacting.

Two major banks in Seraikela district were sealed on Friday after their employees tested positive for coronavirus. Branch of State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda has been sealed and sanitization work is under process. Earlier on Thursday, 12 employees of State Bank of India and one employees of Bank of Baroda tested positive for the virus.

Many people are not wearing masks and violating social distancing norms have contributed to the sudden spurt in novel coronavirus cases in Seraikela in the past few days. Sudden degree of complacency has crept in the psyche of the masses, especially the youth, who feel that all is back to normal since lockdown has eased.
