Jamshedpur, May 26: CBSE of Saturday declared the result of CBSE class 12. Sayon Bannerjee of St. Mary’s English High School scored 94 per cent marks in the pure science stream to bag the first position in the school.
Chitra Rani Jha of was second topper with 90.6 % marks followed by Arpit Sharma and Sonali Dutta who were tied in the third spot in pure science stream.
Pure science result this year showed significant improvement as Shubham Sinha was topper in 2017 with 88.6 %. In bio science also there has been a slight improvement with Puja Kumari bagging the first spot with 90 % marks.
Sana Rab bagged the second place with 88.8 % marks while Rachna Tripathy, Sudeshna Paul and Aadil Anees were tied third with 87.4 % marks. In 2017, Atoofa Jabeen was the school topper with 86% marks There was a slight dip in the commerce result as Areen Fatima Fahim scored 89.2 % marks to be crowned the school topper.
Aditya Mittal and Priyanka Ghosh was the joint second topper with 87.8 % followed by Aayush Agarwal 84.8% marks. In 2017, Aakanksha was the topper with 90.2 %.
Principal of the school, Fr. Puthumai Raj, seemed satisfied with the result with improvement in the percentage of science stream students.
‘I’m happy with the overall outcome and specially the science students who have improved a lot as compared to previous years.
The commerce students should work hard to improve their performance’, added Fr. Puthumai Raj
