Save water awareness program on World Water Day

Jamshedpur, March 22: Oshaj and other organizations observed World Water Day at Sonari Domuhani spreading awareness on water saving initiatives under the program.

On this occasion, various speakers said that water is the source of life, which is exploited in various ways. Now with the natural wealth of the river water being polluted it is the duty of common man to take corrective initiatives.

Due to the effluent discharge the color of the water of river has turned white, as a result, the situation is grave.

The water has become dirty for use. Apart from large scale flow of industrial and domestic waste in the river, encroachment of the bank area was also a matter of grave concern.

Rivers are like economic, social and cultural spine of the country. We must keep them alive by foiling the attempts of large scale encroachment and flow of pollutants in to them.
