Sadhvi Ladli Sharan stressed the need to save the girl child to save the world and blamed female foeticide for social imbalance. She said the government should pass stringent laws for the protection of women. She said boys should be given right training by parents.
Ladli Sharan further raised the issue of Love Jihad and said that it was growing alarmingly to affect the Indian society adversely. �Every day, our daughters are being converted in the name of love and marriage by Love Jihadists. A conspiracy is on to destroy the Hindu community. But Hindu Jagran Manch will not allow it to be successful,� she said.
Sharan said the Modi and Raghubar Das governments had taken positive steps through Beti Bachao Abhiyan.
Also present on the occasion, Swami Sitaram Sharan said the Adivasis were Hindus and that they too, were being victimized by evangelists.
Earlier, at the conference, Amit Sharma was made president of Mahanagar committee while Balvir Mandal was made general secretary.
