Jamshedpur, Nov. 20: Satyanarayana Vratam was performed with South Indian rituals at Andhra Bhakt Sri Ram Mandir on Sunday.
The religious programme was inaugurated by BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Dinesh Kumar. At first priests from Annavaram Satya Narayan Mandir, Andhra Pradesh, D Satyanarayan, G Viswanathan, T Sankaran performed Ganesh Vandhana with vedic chanting followed by katha vachan of Lord Vishnu.
Seeing the special importance of Satyanarayan Puja in Kartik month with the motive of peace and prosperity the religious programme is organised.
After three-hour of prayers, Aarti was held. Devotees in large numbers were offered Prasad while special prayers were held for 246 couples with their names and clan .
