Satrang at Karim City College: Spotlight on young talent

Jamshedpur, July 20: Young talent stole the spotlight on the third day literary and cultural fest Satrang.. the 12th organised by  SPArC (Society for promotion of art and culture) of Karim City College.

 In the first half, Visioness, an Innovation and Business Models, was organised wherein  the participants presented a video or powerpoint presentation on their innovation and business idea. The maximum duration of their presentation was 7 minutes. The event judges were Prof. S. Badre Ahmad, Asst. Prof of Urdu Department and Dr. Mohammad Tufail Ahmed, Head of Physics Department. It was a very enthralling, and exciting event.There were total 7 participants and they presented their skills intricately to be more pellucid. The event was hosted by Rumaysa Mehboob, moderator of Book Club, SPArC. The event was successfully managed by the event head and Chief Organizing Secretary Manish Mukhi.

First prize was bagged by Ankit Jaiswal, Second prize was bagged by Apurv Dey and Aditi, consolation prize was bagged by Sneha Kumari and Gourav Roy.

In the second half, the finals of Sur Sangat of the first category were held, which included classical/ semi-classical, ghazal, and Sufi. The judge for Sur Sangat was Nilanjan Mitra.  Manish Mukhi, the Chief organizing secretary of SPArC took the responsibility as the event head with the Literary Secretary Kahkashan Khanam. The event had Suryam Jyotirmay as the host. The finalists presented melodious performances. In the classical category, the first was won by Dhritiman Mandal, second position was bagged by Aditya Kumar. In Ghazal, the same participants won the same position while the consolation was won by Rishab Srivastav. In Sufi first position was bagged by Prerna Pandey, second position was bagged by Kavishek Kalindi. The audience was also mesmerized by the performances.
