Saryu writes to CS to remain vigilant over files at State Secretariat

Alleges that important files pertaining to different departments are being destroyed

Jamshedpur: With few days left for JMM-led Mahagathbandhan ( Grand Alliance)� government to be formed,� BJP rebel leader and Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy on Thursday shot off� a letter to the chief secretary,� DK Tiwari� to remain vigilant over the files pertaining to important cases at the� state secretariat.

Roy who was elected as an independent candidate  from the Jamshedpur East assembly seat  has been informed from  high-level sources that important files in the Special Branch and CID of the police department are being destroyed .

In these files, informal information and probe petition collected by the Special Branch as well as CID which comes under the Home department are also included.

The BJP  rebel has also claimed that the important files pertaining to the building construction department, road construction  and energy department are also being destroyed.

Roy who is currently at Ranchi has stated that in the light of these information, he expects necessary steps to be taken by the office of the chief secretary.

He has also urged the chief secretary that the cases related to anti-corruption bureau (ACB) which comes under the vigilance department should not be disposed off during this transition period.

In the  letter, Roy  said that the  next Chief Minister  will  take oath on December 29.  Therefore the chief minister’s secretariat should be allowed to function for just care-taking office from the immediate effect and should be refrained from taking any policy decision  during this period.

By defeating former chief minister Raghubar Das in the most coveted assembly seat by contesting against him as an Independent candidate, Roy has not only proved his mettle as a seasoned politician but has also emerged like a towering leader. He has become cynosure of all eyes. He was welcomed at several areas. While interacting with local people, he recently promised to fulfill all aspirations. He also promised to meet PM with regard to 86 basti’s ownership rights. Ownership rights have been major poll plank of Jamshedpur East candidates. Roy has been targeting Raghubar over delay in getting ownership rights.

Jamshedpur East assembly seat had turned into hottest seat in the State. It was CM versus Saryu Roy in Jamshedpur East. Breaking his silence, former Food and civil supplies minister and senior BJP leader  Roy contested as an independent candidate from both Jamshedpur East and West assembly constituencies. Roy, the sitting Jamshedpur West MLA had won the seat in 2005 and 2014. He expressed shock that his name not finding place in the fourth list. He defeated Raghubar by more than 15000 votes.
