Saryu to file police case in Meinhardt scam

Ranchi, June 29: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai will register a case in Doranda or Dhurwa police station in Meinhardt scam case.

Rai said that he is going to register a case after getting the order from the High Court. He said that the petition filed by him in the High Court was heard. He was given an order in this regard on June 26. He said that in the light of this order, an FIR will be registered against the scamsters soon. Saryu Rai said that while rejecting his petition, three options have been given.

They should come to the High Court Bench to implement the order given by the two-judge bench of Jharkhand High Court on September 28, 2018.

They should register an FIR against the culprits of the scam in the police station as per the provisions and demand an investigation.

They should file a case for action in the competent court.

Rai said that after consulting his lawyers, he has chosen the second option. He will soon register an FIR as per the direction of the High Court in Doranda or Doranda or Dhurwa police station of Ranchi.

It is worth noting that Saryu Rai has alleged a scam of Rs 21 crore in giving the work of DPR of sewerage drainage in Ranchi to Meinhardt. He has also raised this matter in the Assembly. On the instructions of the state government, a PE was registered in ACB in December 2020. But, as its report has not been received till now, they have filed a petition in the High Court.
