Jamshedpur, Nov 7: Jamshedpur East MLA and former state minister Saryu Roy Monday sent a letter to Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination (Vigilance) department, Jharkhand government, seeking a speedy ACB probe against himself.
Roy, who shared the letter with the media, said the ACB should be immediately given a directive to conduct an inquiry into the allegations leveled against by G Kumar, a resident of Telco, Jamshedpur. He also demanded that the ACB should be asked to ensure a thorough probe into the allegations within a period of one month.
Roy said the supporters of former CM Raghubar Das had also made a similar demand in July 2021 and had gone to Ranchi to meet the then Governor of Jharkhand in this connection.
Roy further said that the ACB should also be directed to take further action against Raghubar Das in the Meinhardt Scam. “ACB has already submitted its inquiry report more than a year back. It has made Raghubar Das the accused number 1 in this case and sought advice from the Advocate General of Jharkhand,” he said.
Roy also demanded probe into the toffee and T-shirt scam in which Raghubar Das and several others are accused. “Raghubar Das and his near and dear ones were involved in this corruption case. They had organized playback singer Sunidhi Chouhan’s programme and distributed toffees and T-shirts among students of the state. ACB has completed this probe and as far as I know Raghubar Das and others have been found guilty in this case,” said Roy.
