Saryu Roy’s Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha to field candidate in Dhanbad

Ranchi, April 22: Jamshedpur East Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy’s party Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha will contest elections from Dhanbad parliamentary seat.

The party will announce the names of the candidates very soon. Saryu Roy said that his party has not supported Congress candidate Anupama Singh. However, he has admitted that Anupama Singh had definitely come to meet him with her MLA husband Jaimangal Singh and received blessing as a daughter or daughter-in-law.

He also targeted Dhanbad BJP candidate Dhullu Mahato fiercely, saying that according to the affidavit filed by the state general Secretary of BJP in the Election Commission, currently 19 cases are pending against Dhullu Mahato.

Punishment has been given in only two cases. In the year 2022, Dhanbad SP had given a report in Jharkhand High Court.

According to this report, there are many more FIRs registered against Dhullu Mahato. Saryu Rai further said that the BJP candidate has been sentenced only in four cases and in the remaining cases, they are much more serious. In some of these cases, Dhullu Mahato may be sentenced to up to 10 years. At the same time, political experts believe that Saryu Rai himself can be the candidate from his party from Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat.
