Jamshedpur, Jan 9: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy organized a Janata Darbar at Cable Harijan Basti on Thursday. He interacted with local residents and inquired about the various issues affecting them. He was told lack of cleanliness was a major problem in the locality. Due to irregularity in garbage disposal, the locality reeks round-the-clock, the residents said.
The residents further informed Roy that they were unable to educate their children due to lack of government school in their neighbourhood. They said it was difficult for them to send their children to private schools. They also raised the issue of electricity.
Roy assured the residents of time-bound solution to their problems. He said many schools in Jamshedpur East constituency would be developed as model schools. He said he would ensure that all poor children get quality education. He further said he would speak to the officials of departments concerned to ensure timely disposal of garbage from the locality.
