Jamshedpur: A day after BJP released the list of 63 candidates for the assembly elections in the state senior party leader and Ex-Mla Saryu Roy thanked the party for showing confidence in him and hoped the same from the people of the state in order the saffron party forms majority governmnet in Jharkhand.
BJP on Sunday announced the names of candidates for the Jharkhand Assembly awarding seats to all the major leaders of the state including Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das and Saryu Roy.
Talking to the media at the BJP office at Bistupur on Monday, the Jamshedpur West candidate and senior BJP leader said, �I will file nomination from Jamshedpur West on November 13 in the presence of senior party leaders and workers, BJP�s slogan for this election will be �Bhrashtachar Mukt Vikas� and during the campaign the party will focus on to make the people aware about the various schemes of the central government and to implement the same in Jharkhand in order to make the state progress�.
Roy further said the state from the last 14 years is suffering from a khichdi (hotchpotch) government which has only managed to push it backward and its high time the saffron party gets into majority and form a government so that the mineral rich state moves towards paths of development.
�We have straight fight with the muscle power and money power that have been active since the dates of the elections were announced. We will fight the assembly elections under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi who has been the man behind the win in the Lok sabha and assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra, adding that the alliance with AJSU will be a fruitful one as Sudesh Mahato led party has never supported congress and same is the case with BJP,� Roy said.
Roy said BJP is the lone party that can ensure development in Jharkhand. Talking to the newsmen he sounded confidence that buoyed by the Modi wave he will ensure victory for the party. I am very impressed by Narendra Modi jee. �I am overwhelmed with the kind of support I have received from the supporters. People have faith in me and I will do everything for their welfare. The party activists should work with every dedication to spread party�s message,� he further added.
Roy said that after filling the nomination on November 13 the party will release the manifesto and said not a single work promised by Banna Gupta during the last assembly polls has been done. He also appealed the administration to help conduct fair elections and see that the model code of conduct is not violated.
