Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy Sunday demanded that the state government call the Winter Session of Jharkhand Assembly as soon as possible in order to review the various development projects and discuss important issues related to the second supplementary budget and next year’s budget.
“The Winter Session of the Assembly is vital for discussing about the incorporation of excess expenses after the Monsoon Session and the management of resources for the next year’s budget,” said Roy in a press statement issued today.
Roy said the state government had called a one day extended session of the Assembly on 5th September and again called a one day session on 11th November. “On both days, the sessions ran on government’s agenda. Public agenda was not discussed,” said Roy.
Roy said there were numerous topics of public interest that need urgent and detailed discussions in the Assembly. If the Winter Session is not called, these issues will be left out,” he said, while requesting Chief Minister Hemant Soren to end the Monsoon Session and begin preparations to call the Winter Session.
