Saryu Roy lays foundation of Seva Kendra at Sonari Gurudwara

Jamshedpur: State food supply minister cum Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy on Monday laid the foundation stone of Seva Kendra at Sonari Gurudwara. He also prayed before the Holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib and met various Sikh leaders.

Speaking to members of Sonari Gurudwara Committee, Roy said the Sikhs were a brave community and that they had played a vital role in the country�s freedom and progress. He praised the Sonari Gurudwara Committee for its social welfare activities and assured to extend every possible help in its social activities.

The minister also attended the langar. Earlier, in the afternoon, Roy was felicitated by Sikh community leaders. He was presented a memento and a shawl by them.

Among those present on the occasion included Dr Kripal Singh Sidhu, Amarjeet Singh, Harminder Singh, Avtar Singh Saini, Balbir Singh, Mukul Mishra, Gurdayal Singh, Kulvinder Singh Pannu, Suranjan Rai, Chitranjan Verma, Swarna Singh and Mohinder Singh.
