Jamshedpur, Oct 28: State food and civil supplies minister cum MLA of Jamshedpur West Saryu Roy laid the foundation stone of 96 development projects worth Rs 9.5 crore at Durga Puja ground in Kagalnagar, Sonari on Monday. The projects are to be implemented in Kadma, Sonari, Sakchi and Bistupur by the state Urban Development Department.
Roy said the projects would be implemented on an expeditious basis. The projects include construction of road, drain, Chhath ghat renovation and construction, park construction, construction of rooms and buildings in schools, construction of community buildings, construction of boundary wall and toilets and installation of high-mast lamps.
Many dignitaries were present during the foundation laying ceremony. They included Krishna Kumar, Chitranjan Verma, Sanjeev Kumar, Mukul Mishra, Ravi Tiwary, Tapas Chatterjee, Narayan Das and Rita Singh.
