Jamshedpur, Aug 30: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy is down with viral fever. Due to his illness, he has cancelled his appointments and programmes, sources said.
Sources said Roy was scheduled to leave for New Delhi to meet President Ram Nath Kovind at 10.30 am today. He was also scheduled to attend the farewell function of BSF director general Rajnikant Mishra tonight. Mishra is retiring tomorrow. Roy sent a Whatsapp message to the organizers, expressing his inability to come due to illness. He wished Mishra a fulfilling and successful life post-retirement.
