Saryu meets Jharkhand Governor seeks high-level probe against health minister 

Accuses Banna of possessing illegal gun, obscene chats

Jamshedpur, May 2.  Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy met Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan  requested the Governor to direct the Chief Minister to sack the Health Minister without any delay.

In this regard, MLA Saryu Rai issued a press release on Tuesday and said that he explained in detail to the Governor how the government of Jharkhand is patronizing the wrongdoings of a minister under the pressure of the Congress party.

It is clear that there is no rule of law in the state and no legal action will be taken against the violator if he is a minister in the government and is associated with a national party.

The MLA told the Governor that the Jharkhand government is running under the pressure of the Congress party and has not been able to take independent decisions on its own. This is the reason why there is no investigation against the minister even after making serious allegations.

“I had informed the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum on 28th April last about the possession of illegal weapons by the Minister that the Minister not only has a banned weapon but is also displaying it in public places,” Roy said.

 Roy also showed the Governor a letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in which it has been clearly stated that if anyone has a Glock pistol, the administration should confiscate it and keep it in the Malkhana. But even after a week has passed, the Jamshedpur district administration and police are not getting the courage to confiscate illegal/banned weapons from the minister’s place.

Saryu Rai told the Governor quoting Section-25 of the Arms Act that if the police registered the case and took action, then the health minister would be sentenced to a jail term of at least seven years. The term of punishment can also be 14 years.

The Governor assured that he would seek a report from the government in this regard and would also inform the Home Ministry of the Government of India about the information received by him.

The MLA informed the Governor about the obscene video chatting done by the Health Minister and told that the government is trying to suppress this episode. Congress party leaders are attacking only those who raised this issue.

 Demanded the Governor to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the matter and said that it is necessary to find out who is the woman with whom the Health Minister is having obscene talks.

The Governor has assured that he will look into the matter seriously, claimed Roy.
