Saryu inaugurates new building for pensioners in Sakchi

Jamshedpur: State minister Saryu Roy inaugurated the newly-constructed building for pensioners on the Old Court premises in Sakchi on Sunday. He dedicated the new building to the members of Pensioner Samaj, a city-based organization of pensioners, who were earlier given accommodation in an old dilapidated building.

Speaking on the occasion, Roy said the state government was dedicated to the cause of pensioners. He said senior citizens and other pensioners could contact the grievances redressal centre on its toll free number.

The pensioners handed a letter to Roy to felicitate him and express gratitude to the state government. The new building has been built at an expense of Rs 13 lakh.

Also present on the occasion was the former Commissioner of Kolhan Mohan Lal, MP Jamshedpur�s representative Sanjeev Kumar and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee Special Officer Sanjay Kumar. Others included Dhanpat Pandey, Vijay Pratap Singh, Pashupati Nath Sinha, Rajdev Sinha, Vijay Ghatwari and Amar Kumar Singh.

According to the JNAC Special Officer, foundation stones of many projects worth Rs 82 lakh were laid today in the city.
