Jamshedpur, July 14: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has alleged that since last three days, there have been complaints of dirt and insects in the drinking water supplied in the settlements of Tata Lease area.
Saryu Roy who is on a tour of Palamau claimed that after receiving the complaint he informed Tata Steel UISL managing director Rituraj Sinha and shared mobile number of the complainants and screen shot of their information.
“But till now the quality of drinking water has not improved and complaints are being received from certain localities even today. I have requested to investigate why the quality of drinking water supply has deteriorated and get the defects rectified soon,” said a release issued from Saryu Roy’s office.
The release claimed that complaints have been received from Vijayanagar, Cable Town, Kashidih, Bajrang bastis.
“Earlier, such complaints were often received from the consumers of Moharda drinking water project. But it is surprising that these complaints are now being received from Jamshedpur Tata Lease settlements,” the release said quoting Roy.
