Jamshedpur: Saraswati Puja and Vasantotsava were celebrated with fervour at Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia, on Sunday. A cultural programme was held on this occasion. All teachers, non-teaching staff and students participated in the events. The puja was performed in the presence of school managing director Dr Bramhadutt Sharma, Principal Dr Sunita Sinha, administrator Krishna Modak and PRO Rajesh Sharma.
A Kavi Goshthi and Mushaira were also held as a part of the cultural programme which began with Saraswati Vandana. Teacher Naushad Razia welcomed the guests and spoke on the importance of the day. She read a poem penned by her. Other teachers and students too, read their poems. The Principal was bid a warm farewell at the conclusion of the programme. Her successor Sanjay Kumar Singh was also present on the occasion.
