Noamundi, March 1: Villagers in Gua are forced to use the red, polluted water from the Karo River, as the mines in the region discharge their waste water directly the river.
It is worth mentioning here that the Karo River is considered to be the life line of Saranda.
The villagers of Lipunga, Ghatkuri, Rowam, Thakura and several others use the water for bathing as well as for drinking and cooking purposes.
Consumption of red water is hazardous not only for the humans, but animals too.
