Chaibasa, Dec. 23: Kolhan commissioner Arun Kumar and Kolhan DIG R K Dhan held a joint press conference at commissioner office Chaibasa on Wednesday to brief the local media about the security and development under various government schemes.
The Commissioner said that we are working on Saranda development plan, Porahat development plan, Sarai Kela and Gora Bandha development plan. He added that we have constructed seven road and four other roads construction will be completed very soon in Saranda.
He further said that the road construction would be verified physically by a team to assess the quality if necessary and would ask the contractor not to compromise on quality of road construction.
We have provided five hundred pump sets for drinking water in the villages of Saranda but the tube well water contain huge iron which cannot be consumed by the villagers. So we have taken up the plan to make gravity embankment for the water of hill top stream which will be filtered and provided to the villagers as the natural hill stream water does not contain much iron.
Commissioner added that in order to implement the work of Saranda action plan we have decided to set up CRPF camp at Rowam. We have also taken up a project to install solar energy. First of all we want to construct road after that we will provide electricity to all the 56 villages of Saranda. We also want to implement Porahat development plan.
He mentioned that Chief Minister will visit Chaibasa on 26 December and will meet all the 14 department secretaries at Chaibasa .
On the occasion representative of officer, NGOs, Mahila representative, Public representative Students organisation and industries representative will attend. He pointed that at Gorabandha there is report of illegal mining and we have taken it seriously.
Very soon after conducting a survey will go for mining of Panna stone. He also mentioned that mining department will contribute 30 per cent of their profit for the development of the Kolhan division.
DIG R K Dhan said that there is not much report from the division to say in this month. Finally commissioner thanked the voters and officers for conducting successful three- tier Panchayat election 2015.
