BDO provides spot financial assistance

Saraikela: Parshuram, a daily wage earner working as a porter in the FCI godown in Gamharia fractured his hip bone in the course of work last year. He was admitted to RIMS and the administration sanctioned money for his treatment. The compensation money received for Parshuram�s treatment was instead taken by his wife who left him for a yet unknown destination leaving him and his minor children to the care of his sister. Needless to say, {Parsuram is unable to move.
Seeing the pitiable condition the Basti dwellers along with Parshuram and his siter came in a group and created ruckus at the BDO�s office. On listening them out BDO Thakur Gauri Shankar Sharma sanctioned Rs 15,000 on the spot and assured them that the administration would stand by the family and arrange for the children�s free education. He said that he would talk to other officials for further help. Satisfied, the crowd returned carrying the ailing Parsuram.
