Saplings planted at Singhbhum College

Chandil: The students of Singhbhum College, Chandil, planted several saplings under the National Service Scheme on the premises of Upgraded Middle School, Gangudih, on Tuesday.

Around 50 saplings of different varieties were planted. The chief guest of the programme was the Mukhiya of Rapcha Hemlata Manki.

The principal of the college Dr GP Rajwar was also present during the plantation drive. Manki said planting trees was essential to save to environment.

She called on the students to ensure active participation in such events. Rajwar too, stressed on taking the plantation drive on a higher level by planting more trees and involving more people.
