Jamshedpur, Feb. 10: Sant Ravidas Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and fervour at Saraswati Shishu Mandir on Friday.
The event started with teachers and students paying floral tribute to the portrait of preacher-philosopher Sant Ravidas. Teacher Savita Das said, Guru Ravidas ji emphasised on values of harmony, equality and compassion, which are central to India’s culture and ethos.
His pure thoughts and ideals have a profound impact on society.
The headmaster Brij Lal Ram said, Sant Ravidas is a renowned Dalit bhakti movement saint and poet of who lived during the period of Sant Kabir.
On the occasion Rajeev Lohar, Mousami Bala, Kakoli Mahato, Sandhya Singh and others were present. the event was anchored by Bijan Kumar Dhada.
