Jamshedpur, Aug 8: Cultural organization, Sanskar Bharati, is known for organizing dance recitals, fancy dress competitions as well as Bhajan singing contests on an all India level each year on the occasion of Janmashtami. This year, the Jamshedpur chapter will organize a Shri Krishna themed Bhajan singing competition on August 12.
Sanskar Bharati Jamshedpur secretary Vijay Bhushan, in a press communiqu� today stated that the Bhajan renditions would be in three categories namely, solo (male), solo (female) and duet (one male and one female singer). The lyrics for the devotional songs should be in Hindi or Sanskrit. The maximum duration for a rendition has been fixed at three minutes. The songs may be recorded live or on karaoke system and recorded on WMA or MP-4 and sent vide WhatsApp number 8434498243. The last date for entry is August 10. The organizing committee has stipulated that participants in the competition will not be allowed to upload their songs on YouTube or any other platform till the competition results have been declared.
Participants are required to send in, along with their songs, their names, photographs, age, mobile numbers and the lead line (mukhda) of their songs. Two cash prizes will be awarded for each section and certificates will be issued to the winning entrants. All contestants will be provided e-certificates of participation.
