Jamshedpur: Sanjiv Paul, vice president (safety, health and sustainability) will be hoisting the National Flag on August 15 at Steel Works Gate on Independence Day. The Tata Steel management has already issued orders in view of the coronavirus that not more than 25 people will be present at the flag hoisting ceremony. Apart from JDC officials, only IL-1 and IL-2 officers will be present in the ceremony. At the same time, the top leadership from the Tata Workers� Union including president R Ravi Prasad, deputy president Arvind Pandey and general secretary Satish Kumar Singh will participate. Apart from this, the distribution of sweets has also been banned after the ceremony. Employees will be able to watch the Independence Day celebrations online. The flag hoisting ceremony will begin at eight in the morning.
