Sanjiv Paul hoists tricolour at Tata Steel Works in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 27: Tata Steel vice president (safety, health and sustainability) Sanjiv Paul unfurled the Indian Tricolour at Tata Steel Works, where the company�s security, fire brigade, NCC and dog squad took part in the parade on Republic Day on Sunday, January 26.

�It is a pride moment for the nation. On the first Republic Day in 1950, Jehangir Ghandy hoisted the national flag here. In all these years, from being the first steel plant of the country, Tata Steel has come a long way. Tata Steel has always believed in a clean and green India,� he said.

He added the city has been strongly focused during the last one year in improving the quality of life of people of Jamshedpur.

“Better roads and infrastructure have been developed or the slew of social, cultural and sports activities that have been brought to the city is truly remarkable,” he added.

Talking to the media persons, Paul said that upcoming budget will strengthen the steel sector if the government takes steps in retail infrastructure and health. Every sector has been affected by economic challenge in the country but he expressed happiness that the situation has improved in the last two quarters. “The government has taken steps to overcome slowdown which has enabled us to take move ahead,” he added.
