Sanchit (E Singhbhum), Sucharita (Ranchi) win chess championship

Jamshedpur, May 24: Sanchit Mukherjee of East Singhbhum and Ranchi’s Sucharita Chakraborty performed brilliantly to be crowed the winners in the U-11 boys and U-11 girls� category of the 16th Jharkhand State U- 7 and 11 (Boys & Girls) Chess Championship-2016, which concluded on Sunday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. �

In the U-11 boys� category, Kumar Sankalp of East Singhbhum was second, while Ishant Kumar of Dhanbad was third. In the U-11 girls� category, Arisha Shiraz of East Singhbhum was second followed by Chelsea Mittal of Dhanbad.

In U-7 boys� category, Krishna Kumar Saw of Dhanbad clinched the first position; Archit Mittal also of Dhanbad was second, while Naman Singh of Seraikela was in the third spot.

In the U-7 girls� category, Saara Jain of East Singhbhum was first, Pratibha Singh of Dhanbad was second, while Geetikaa Verma of East SInghbhum was in the third spot.
