Samarpan working for the poor with positive energy: DC

Jamshedpur: City-based NGO Samarpan organized a free health checkup camp at a 10-bedded hospital at Zone Number 1B of Birsanagar on Saturday.

The camp was inaugurated by the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar. Several administrative officials including senior police officials of the district were present during the camp.

In his address, the DC appreciated the activities being carried out by Samarpan. He said the NGO was engaged in creative and welfare activities with positive energy and bringing youths in its fold. He said such an initiative was bound to give better results in the days to come.

Kumar visited the hospital and assured to extend every possible help to the hospital authorities to make it a model hospital.

He said various facilities will be provided to the hospital with the view to improve healthcare facilities.

Speaking as the chief guest of the occasion, Lalit Das, convenor of the NGO, said the outfit was working with the aim to help the deprived sections of the society.

He said the free health checkup camp was only a part of the long chain of events planned by the NGO for the poor and needy. He said the NGO was getting huge support of the people in its welfare activities. He thanked the supporters and assured to expand the social activities of the organization.

A total of 433 people visited the camp and underwent physical examination by a team of doctors. Free medicines were dispensed to the patients.

Among those present on the occasion included Vinay Kumar Khan, Kumari Priyanka, Kartik Kumar Mahato, Amit Kumar, Roshan Kumari, Rupa Rai, Manju Kumari, Kalyani Mukherjee and Mukesh Mishra.

The doctors included Dr Tripal Kaur, Dr Laxmi Kumari, Dr Lalit Kumar, Dr Jaiprakash Lal, Dr Maheshwar Prasad and Dr Vimlesh Kumar.
