Jamshedpur: City-based social organization Samadhan has begun preparations for its fourth mass wedding programme. A meeting of the outfit members was held in Bistupur to chalk out plans for the upcoming event.
At the meeting, responsibilities of various members were fixed and a broad outline of the events was prepared. This year, 15 girls from under-privileged families would get married at Samadhan�s mass wedding ceremony. In the last three years, 41 couples got married, said the outfit members.
The NGO members also discussed ways to improve facilities in Khariyakocha village adopted by them. It was decided to get the village houses renovated after the mass wedding ceremony.
Among those present at the meeting included Poonam Vig, Kuljeet Sadana, Poonam Sahu, Bina Khirwal, Harjeet Bhatia, Amita Mahendru, Ankit Anand, Dinesh Kumar, Dr Neelam and Ashish Gulati.
