Jamshedpur: City-based social organization Samadhan planted saplings in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee under its Go Green Jamshedpur campaign on Saturday. A total of 1008 saplings were planted by the outfit under the campaign.
The drive ended with the planting of 14 saplings at Town Hall, Sidhgora. The chief guest of the occasion was Dinesh Kumar, district BJP president cum patron of Samadhan. He praised the outfit members. He said more and more trees should be planted to save the environment.
The outfit president Poonam Vig said there is a need to create public awareness on environment conservation.
Among others present on the occasion included Poonam Vig, Amarjeet Singh Raja, Sushanto Panda, Shailendra Mishra, Madhu Prasad and Gitanjali Bose.
