Jamshedpur, September 19: To support the district administration’s polythene free campaign, social organization ‘Samadhan’ has launched Anti-polythene campaign to help keep the environment clean and green.
An awareness campaign was launched the organization at Baradwari market against use of polythene or plastic bags. Members of ‘Samadhan’ distributed free cloth bags among the buyers and shopkeepers and asked them not to use plastic bags.
Members of ‘Samadhan’ appealed the people to use cloth bags whenever they are out in the market and not to use plastic bags as they pollute the environment. At the event district public relation officer (DPRO) Sanjay Kumar and patron of ‘Samadhan’ Dinesh Kumar were present.
On the occasion DPRO Sanjay Kumar said, its collective duty to keep our environment clean and pollution free. All the citizens should come forward and stop use of polythene bags and plant as many trees as they can.
Patron of ‘Samadhan’ Dinesh Kumar, said to make people aware of the ill effects of polythene, members of ‘Samadhan’ will visit several places and will distribute free cloth bags among the people.
During the launch of the campaign, President of ‘Samadhan’, Poonam Vig, Harjeet Bhatia, Kiran Shaw, Amita Mahendru, Sunita Sachdev, Ankit Anand, Kapil Kumar, Mohammed Faiyaz, Madhusmita Bera and others were present.
