Jamshedpur: Tribal leader and president of Jharkhand Disom Party ( JDP) Salkhan Murmu today demanded CBI probe against the former CM Arjun Munda for his involvement in the fake caste certificate matter. He also demanded traitor case to be filed against him.
He said Munda’s contribution in the field of politics and social service has been negative throughout his career. Giving examples of Munda’s ‘negative’contributions, the tribal leader alleged that the former Chief Minister submitted fake caste certificate to the Election Commission during the then Bihar assembly elections in 1995 and 2000 for Kharsawan reserve seat (ST).
He said Munda belonged to Patar Munda caste which was not included in the ST category and after formation of Jharkhand Patar Munda was incoroporated in the ST catergoy in 2002.
He went to inform that he will soon meet Arvind Kejriwal and will motivate him to declare Jamshedpur MP Ajoy Kumar as AAP candidate in next election.
He said that JDP will contest election and will make domicile its agenda. He added that even after 10 years of formation of Jharkhand the survival of tribal culture, customs, heritages, practices, their way of life, languages are on the verge of extinction.
If proper attention is not given then all the special characteristic of tribal will be wiped out from India in the span of next five or more decades he added.
JDP calls for bandh on Feb
Jamshedpur: In an attempt to build up pressure on Government for implementation of constitutional provisions designed for protecting adivasis , tribal outfit Jharkhand Disom Party ( JDP) has called for a bandh in the State on Feb 27. The party has formed Domicile Sena which will burn effigy on Jan 15.
Party�s leader, Salkhan Murmu said that that all the respective governments in the State have failed miserably to hand over the land rights to the tribals and ensure their adequate representation in the government jobs.
Every party has supported the land mafias and forced displacements of tribals Murmu further went on to add that the conditions of tribals were turning from bad to worse but the political parties were indulging in politics for personal gains.
He raised the demand that Chotanagpur and Santhal Paragana Tenancy act should be implemented in letter and spirit, protection of tribal land, checking displacement and migration.
