Sakchi shopkeepers put up chabeel, distribute cold drinks

Jamshedpur, June 4: Sakchi shopkeepers on Saturday put up Chabeel on the occasion of Martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, near Basant Cinema Complex on Saturday.

They distributed cold drinks and masala chole�(spicy chickpeas) among the commuters and market visitors. The event started with kirtan presented by Sikh youths.

Pyare Singh of Refugee Colony Gurudwara performed the rituals. Present on the occasion Inderjeet Singh, chief of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, made the gathering aware of the life history of Guru Arjan dev Ji and the sacrifices he made for the Sikh community.

Shopkeeper Ankit Chhabra, Devendra Singh Rocky informed about the pains Guru Arjan Dev Ji suffered for the rights of the society.

To make the event successful, Dr. Swarn Singh, Vinit Sablok, Taranpreet Singh, Kale Pava, Ajit SIngh, Harvinder Singh Mantu, Gurudev Singh Raja, Rocky SIngh, Dalbir SIngh and others provided their full support.
