Saima Firdous wins English Debate at Govind Vidyalaya

Jamshedpur, June 29: The English Department of Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia organised debate competition for class IX to XII on Wednesday, June 29.

The topic for the debate was ‘Education is becoming costlier than its quality’. The event started with an introduction by Sneha Sharma (English teacher). The debate was organised to encourage the students towards dissent and discussion at the peer level on the topic provided. The students were able to deepen their horizon in thoughts and hone their flair in oratory skills and rhetoric.

The debate competition was highly informative and enriching and the participants were very confident and had put forward their argument very convincingly.

English teacher Shikha Singh was the judge for the event.

Saima Firdous of XII A was declared the winner followed by Sumaiya Perween of XII A and Taskeen Fatma of X B.

The competition concluded on a great note with amazing comments and reviews from all the participants.
