Sahyog to organize literary and cultural programmes in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 1: A meeting of the Executive Committee of Sahyog, a multilingual literary organization, was held in Jamshedpur on Sunday to discuss upcoming activities, annual programmes, and financial planning for the year.

During the meeting, members decided that all documents related to the organization’s programmes would be properly maintained and preserved. Each file will include a short report of the event, expenditure receipts, and photographs to ensure systematic record-keeping and transparency.

The committee also resolved that the annual budget session would begin in April every year. It was further decided that all programme files would be updated and organized after the General Body Meeting.

The organization finalized a detailed calendar of literary and cultural events for the year. According to the schedule, Kabir Jayanti will be celebrated in the last week of June with discussions on the life and teachings of Saint Kabir. Premchand Jayanti will be organized in July, while a Sawan Milan programme based on the theme of Barahmasa will take place in the last week of August.

Similarly, Dinkar Jayanti will be celebrated in September, Vijaya Milan in October, and a Book Fair in November. A Vanbhoj (annual picnic) will be organized in January, followed by Nirala Jayanti during Vasant Panchami and Holi Milan Samaroh in March.

Office bearers expressed confidence that these programmes would strengthen literary and cultural activities while encouraging wider participation from literature lovers and social thinkers in the city.

The meeting was attended by the President of the organization, Dr. Sandhya Sinha; Working President, Dr. Joohi Samarpita; Secretary, Dr. Bharti Kumari; Joint Secretary, Dr. Manila; Legal Advisors, Mamta Singh and Jaipal Singh; Treasurer, Pushpanjali Mishra; along with Madhuri Mishra, Jyotsna Asthana, Sudha Goyal, Lakshmi Singh ‘Ruby’, Reena Sinha, and Dr. Sabita Paul, all of whom participated actively in the deliberations.
