Jamshedpur: Safety Week celebrations came to a conclusion at Kerala Public School, Kadma, on Thursday.
SAFE Club representatives on the very last day gave a presentation on cyber laws and safety. Next to follow was the Sit and draw competition that included various activities ranging from drawing and colouring to poster-making and collage for pre-primary, primary, middle school, high school and senior secondary respectively.
Ensuring 100 per cent participation, the students were given a canvass to express their thoughts on the theme BE SAFE, BE HAPPY. The Sit and Draw Competition was followed by a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstration by Dr Vidya Krishnan of Tata Main Hospital who gave an insight into the ABCs of survival during the first few minutes of an emergency situation. From giving breaths to the position of hands while compressions, this happened to be the most interesting of all.
The Safety Week was unveiled on August 20 at the hands of the chief guest Chandra Sharan and was taken forward by the SAFE Club team of Kerala Public School (Kadma) under the supervision of staff members namely Purba Moitra, Pragya Sharan and Indira Singh as key moderators of the event.
A rigorous week of fire and evacuation drills by the CEASEFIRE, a group of professionals led by Mr Sameer Mohan gave us a knowhow into how fire extinguishers are operated. The dedicated week on safety has been nothing less than a grand success with students being far more equipped now to deal with emergency.
