Safety lessons at Baug-e-Jamsheed

Jamshedpur : Safety is a prime concern in our city and we as schools must do our best to inculcate safe habits. Wmust encourage our children to become responsible citi-zens.

This was the gist of the lessons preached to children at Baug-e-Jamsheed, one of the leading schools of the cityduring a campaign organized on the campus on road safetyIn the month of October, children in Baug-E-Jamsheed School learn about vehicles and Road Safety.

This is emphasized through a Road Safety Day. This year the Road Safety Day was held on Thursday last. The children were taken in batches to learn about safety on the road.

They learnt to walk on the footpath; they observed the traffic moving fast on the roads, they saw the traffic signs and learnt about crossing the road on the zebra crossing.

They were also taught to hold their parents hands whenever they were outside their homes.

When they returned to the classroom the teachers made �roads� with zebra crossings and children played on them with cars. They exhibited what they had learnt.
