SAFE organises evacuation drill for KPS NML students

Jamshedpur, Aug 26: An evacuation drill was conducted at NML Kerala Public School by SAFE (Safety Awareness for Everyone) with the help of the Fire Services team of Tata Steel. Around 1600 students participated in the mock drill.

Students and teachers were apprised about processes to be followed, like emergency response plan, routes to be followed, headcount after evacuation, and other necessary protocols. The condition of fire extinguishers in the school was also checked as part of the drill.

Mom Mitra, Convener SAFE and Manager, Safety, Tata Steel, Jagjeet Singh and Santosh Shukla from Fire Services Tata Steel facilitated the mock drill. School principal, Gurmeet Kaur and Safe Club Coordinators, Gunjan Jaggi and Pritma Sachdev were also present at the occasion.

SAFE organises these training sessions regularly to increase safety awareness among school children on various topics.

SAFE club is a conglomerate of schools of Jamshedpur chaired by Ruchi Narendran. Tata Steel facilitates this initiative by organizing training on various topics and conducting mock drills for schools.
