Jamshedpur, Nov 10: The Tata Motors Sports Department organised the Inter-Team and Inter-School Cricket Tournament (2025–26) for men and boys at the Telco Cricket Ground on Wednesday. The event saw exciting contests and strong performances from all participating teams.
In the Inter-Team category, the final match was played between Safari Royals and Prima Challenger. The game remained competitive till the last over, with Safari Royals securing a thrilling victory by just 4 runs. Kovalesh Kumar of Safari Royals was declared Best Player for his impressive performance throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, in the Inter-School category, the final was held between Vivek Vidyalaya and Shiksha Niketan School. Vivek Vidyalaya showcased excellent cricketing skills and held their nerves to win the title by 7 runs. Himanshu from Vivek Vidyalaya was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament in the school category.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Uma Rao, School and Club Representative of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association; Rajat Kumar Singh, Head of Town Administration; Prantik Chakraborty, Head of Communications; Awadhesh Singh, Principal of Vivek Vidyalaya; Sumita Dey, Principal of Shiksha Niketan School; and Ashish Sen from Town Administration, Tata Motors.
The chief guests and guests of honour felicitated the winners and runners-up, applauding their teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
