Jamshedpur : A 35-year-old Sukha Sabar died after drowning in a pond in Gudajhor village of Baghudia panchayat under Ghatshila subdivision of East Singhbhum district. As soon as the incident was reported, Galudih police station in-charge Vikas Jaiswal and SI Santosh Sen arrived at the scene and took the body and sent it to the sub-divisional hospital for post-mortem. Police said the youth used to live with the family in Gudazhor village. On Monday, he along with his partner Ravi Sabar went to bathe in the village pond. Suddenly the drought went into deep water. When he did not come out for long, Ravi looked for him.
The body was then taken out with the help of villagers. Police said that according to the family of the deceased, the drought was due to epilepsy.
