Jamshedpur: As part of the 71st Saastha Preethi Celebrations, the pujas at Dharma Saastha Temple today started with the havan for Lord Ganapati. After installation of Kalash for Lord Ganapati, Lord Karthik, and Lord Dharma Saastha, Maha Lakshmi Sri Sookta Havan was performed followed by Jap for asta roop (8 forms) of Maha Lakshmi.
After this, Maha Vishnu Jap and was also conducted by the visiting Ved pandits. Later on Tulsi puja was performed by five couples. This was followed by Abhishek for Lord Vishnu which was done with milk, curd, pomegranate juice and cane juice.
In the end, Maha Rudrabhishek was performed with installed Kalash for Lord Ganapati, Lord Karthik and Lord Dharma Saastha. Later on, 45 married women were honored by the Temple management.
After performing Maha arati prasad was distributed to more than 2000 devotees by the managing committee members.
In the evening Baby Sriram performed Carnatic vocal classical recital which drew large audience.
Tomorrow morning Maha Rudrabhishek will be performed for Lord Ganapati, Lord Karthik and Lord Dharma Saastha and in the evening a grand procession will be taken out for n Bistupur
