Jamshedpur, Sept 19: A two day job fare which was inaugurated today by the Joint Director of STPI Siddharta Roy at RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET) saw 827 applicants lining up for job prospects in 28 companies that had participated in the recruitment process. 3,250 candidates have been registered for the two day job fair that will conclude on Friday, September 20. 25 more companies are expected to participate in the campus selections on the final day tomorrow.
Among the other guests at the inauguration who shared the dais were BOPT Assistant Director Raja Rao, Chief Scientist of NML Dr Mita Tarafdar, Vijay Bhullar of CII, College Secretary Bharat Singh, Treasurer Shatrughan Singh, Executive Member Shakti Singh, Principal Dr RN Gupta, Dr Rajesh Tiwary and Training and Placement in-charge Dr Vikram Sharma.
In his inaugural address Siddharta Roy lauded the effort of RVSCET for organizing the two day job fair which is a project of the Human Resources and Development Department of the Government of India envisaged at reducing the level of unemployment.
